Soil
HLC uses local, clay-based topsoil. Our topsoil is put through an industrial sifter to remove most of the rocks and debris from the topsoil. The result is a quality, fine grade topsoil.
Compost
Adding healthy compost to the soil in gardens not only feeds the plants growing in this soil the nutrients they need, it also makes them stronger. Compost will help you save money by reducing the need to add chemicals which over time can become costly. Hubinger Landscaping believes in the importance of compost and can assist you in your questions and compost needs.
Mulch
Mulch isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. There are many different types of mulch for your lawn and garden needs, with a wide variety of colors to choose from.
Our customer’s favorite mulch by far is a finely ground wood fiber with a non-toxic coloring added to it for nice consistency, adding contrast to your landscaping. Since our mulch is made from recycled wood fibers it will eventually break down and add natural additives to your soil. You can choose between Brown, Gold, Black, and Red.
Sand
- Fill Sand is best used for leveling and to put under concrete Fill
- Mason Sand has finer texture also makes it an acceptable replacement for beach sand in applications like sand volleyball courts. It can also be used in cement, particularly for projects like swimming pools and concrete paving stones where the finer grain gives a more finished appearance.
- Torpedo Sand is used for drainage and under pavers. Torpedo sand is also used in concrete mixes. This course grade of sand has superior drainage ability.
Landscaping Stone
HLC has more than thirty varieties, colors and sizes of landscaping stone. We recommend a standard ground cover of 3″ thick. Landscaping stone is a low maintenance ground cover that enhances landscape design through its color, size, and texture. It also helps control erosion and supports good drainage.

Hubinger Landscaping carries flagstone to assist you in the creation of your dream walkway or patio and decorative accent stones to highlight your landscaping beds. Our natural steps create an everlasting entrance to your home or outdoor shed. We also carry edging and border stone to emphasize your landscape and define your landscaping beds.
